Controller
Fizzwick Sugar Workshop Ltd, 14 Manor Street, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, Ireland, CRO 612 884, is the data controller. Write to hello@fizzwick.com with any question about this notice.
What we collect
- Booking data. The parent or guardian's name, email and phone number.
- Child data. First name and age only. We do not collect surnames, addresses or dates of birth for children.
- Health data. Allergies and any medical information you choose to tell us, which is special category data and is treated accordingly.
- Emergency contact. For camps only, a second name and number.
- Technical data. Server logs with IP address, user agent and page requested.
Why, and on what basis
Booking and child data are processed to perform the booking. Allergy and medical information is processed to protect vital interests and with your explicit consent, given when you enter it on the form. Emergency contacts are processed to protect vital interests. Server logs rest on legitimate interests in security.
Children's data, specifically
We hold the least we can. A first name and an age is enough to run a class safely. Allergy notes are printed on a sheet that stays in the pan room during the class and is shredded at the end of the day; the underlying record stays in the booking system until the retention period ends.
Photographs
We do not photograph children for this website or for social media. Every image on this site is of sweets or equipment. Where a parent photographs their own child at a party, that is theirs and nothing to do with us.
Retention
| Record | Held for |
|---|---|
| Booking and contact records | Two years from the last booking |
| Allergy and medical notes | Two years, alongside the booking they relate to |
| Accident book entries | Seven years, as insurance requires |
| Payment records | Six years, as Revenue requires |
| Server logs | Ninety days |
Who else sees it
Our payment provider, our accountant and the company hosting this site. Allergy sheets are seen only by staff teaching that class. We do not sell data, do not run advertising and do not share booking lists with anybody.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent for health data at any time — though we cannot run a class safely without knowing about an allergy, and we will say so. We reply within one month. You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission.
